Our client provides a range of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living within the Ovens Murray region.
Your role will consist of delivering a range of programs that provide support to families who have dependent children, providing in-home and community interventions in a child-centered, family focused way.
Your role will support parents to ensure the best and social, emotional, educational outcomes for their children. In addition, you will focus on early intervention and placement prevention strategies to prevent families meeting Child Protections, including reunification support.
We seek someone with relevant tertiary qualifications and experiencepromoting and engaging in relationships with Aboriginal families that promote culture as a safety for children, and who can fulfil the program obligations regarding caseload requirements, targets, case recording, statistics, and other data collection.
You must have the ability to partake in reflective practice and to be self-directed. Desirable skills, knowledge and experience include the delivery of child and family services, substance abuse, child protection, early years, family violence, therapeutic interventions and/or mental health support.
This is a short term contract.
