For many young people, a driver’s licence isn’t just about getting from A to B.

It’s about independence, confidence and access to work.

This role is about patience, encouragement, cultural safety and showing up consistently.

  • Build logbook hours (120 required in NSW & VIC)
  • Drive confidently in real road and weather conditions
  • Grow self-belief, responsibility, and readiness for work
You’ll mentor one-on-one, building trusting relationships that support young people well beyond the driver’s seat.

Two Ways to Join

Driver-Mentor (Unqualified)

  • Acts as a supervising driver and mentor
  • Casual or full-time opportunity
Driver-Mentor (Qualified)

  • Helping connect participants into broader employment programs
  • Representing the organisation positively in community
Expect regular regional travel including overnight stays.

This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Is calm, patient and people-focused
  • Understands the power of mentoring and role modelling
  • Can build trust with young people and families
  • Is comfortable working independently and on the road
  • Wants to contribute to meaningful community outcomes
Experience working with young people, community services or Indigenous programs is highly regarded but not essential.

Why Join?
Every hour behind the wheel creates opportunity.
Every conversation builds confidence.
