What You’ll Do:
- Analyse changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services to determine effects on cost structures
- Be a proactive member within the NPD team to deliver insights and timely advice on costings, opportunities ensuring opportunities are financially viable
- Develop and maintain the standardised costing system including raw materials, packaging and finished goods along with the annual cost update
- Analyse manufacturing operations, variances, and equipment utilisation to identify improvement opportunities
- Review inventory valuations and reconciliations ensuring it is treated appropriately
- Manufacturing Order variance review
- Undertake ad-hoc costing and analysis as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Australian manufacturing
- Strengths in cost accounting, ideally in food, petfood or beverage manufacturing
- Power BI and advanced Excel skills – and a love of meaningful data analysis!
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Analytical mindset with a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
