Wodonga | $120,000+ Package | Creative Residential Design

Not all homes are boxes. Not all drafting jobs should be either!

Tired of cookie-cutter designs? Love the challenge of creating something unique?

Sawyer Sourcing is partnering with a highly regarded, established custom home builder in the Albury–Wodonga region to find a talented Architectural Draftsperson / Building Designer with a genuine flair for creative residential design.

This isn't a production-line drafting role. Our client specialises in individually designed homes, including impressive split-level designs on challenging and sloping blocks.

Every project is different, and that's exactly how they like it!

Where creativity meets construction

Imagine taking a client's rough sketch, a handful of Pinterest images or simply a conversation about their dream home and transforming those ideas into something extraordinary.

You'll work closely with clients to understand their vision, explore creative possibilities and develop beautiful, functional homes that complement their surroundings.

We're looking for someone who thinks like a designer, communicates like a consultant and understands how homes are built.

What you'll bring

• A genuine passion and flair for residential design
• Experience in architectural drafting or building design
• Confidence engaging directly with clients and interpreting their ideas
• The creativity to make challenging sites an opportunity, not an obstacle
• Sound residential construction knowledge and drafting skills
• A practical mindset with an eye for detail and great design

What's on offer?

• $120,000+ remuneration package
• Genuine creative freedom – no endless repetition of standard plans
• Interesting, individually designed residential projects
• An established and respected local building business
• Direct client involvement from concept through to design
• A supportive team that values fresh ideas and initiative
• Wodonga-based position

Design homes that stand out!

If you're an experienced draftsperson who loves the creative side of residential design and wants the freedom to turn great ideas into exceptional homes, we'd love to hear from you.
