Specialist Medical Practice Receptionist

Days and Hours of work: Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 5 pm. (5 days per week)
Duties include:
- Answer phone promptly in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments
- Bill and receipt of patient accounts
- Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically
- Operate all aspects of the EFTPOS machine, handle insurance claims / Medicare
- Scanning patient documents
- Prepare documents for mail-out & electronic distribution
- Enter data as required with a high level of accuracy
- General housekeeping of the practice
- Assisting the Practice Manager when required
- Use of Genie medical software
- Excellent interpersonal / communication skills
- Medical Reception experience
- “Corporate” presentation
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess the ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Use of Genie medical software is preferable
- Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality
- Able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people
