An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and hands-on Technical Service Manager to lead the Service Department of a trusted Australian supplier of global best-in-market automation, labelling and packaging solutions to the fresh produce industry.
As a key member of a dynamic senior management team, you’ll take ownership of national service operations, driving performance, efficiency and customer satisfaction across Australia’s fruit and vegetable growing centres.
About the Role: You’ll oversee a national team of field technicians, administration support, and licenced sub-agents, ensuring exceptional service delivery to valued Agribusiness customers.
Your focus will include:
Managing and motivating the service team to deliver high-quality, timely service
Coordinating service schedules and resources for optimal efficiency
Building trusted customer relationships and ensuring exceptional issue resolution
Driving growth in service revenue through proactive contract management
Managing the service department budget and achieving performance KPIs
Implementing remote diagnostics and digital-first service strategies
Maintaining compliance with all agency and safety requirements
This role combines operational leadership, customer focus, and strategic contribution, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both people leadership and technical problem-solving.
What we are looking for:
Trade qualification or bachelor’s degree in a related field
5+ years’ technical / automation experience and 3+ years managing a service team
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop technical staff
Strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach to safety, efficiency and continuous improvement
