We are seeking a reliable and caring Food Service Assistant to join a dedicated team in a welcoming residential aged care facility – the Violet Town Bush Nursing Centre.

For over 100 years, they have provided a warm and home-like environment to elderly community residents who all have a story to tell.

In this role, you will assist with meal preparation, plating and service, ensure dining areas are clean and inviting and also support residents with their mealtime needs.

Enjoy a structured 9.5-hour split shift that offers variety across your day – best suited to someone locally based with reliable transport.

You will play an important part in creating a positive dining experience for our residents every day.

We are looking for someone with:

Hospitality experience in food service / kitchen hand
Friendly, patient and a team player
Commitment to being reliable and dependable
Strong attention to hygiene and food safety
Genuine interest in supporting older people
A current Food Handler’s Certificate (Food Safety)
