Residential Construction Project Manager (client side)

Our client is the largest community housing provider in North East Victoria, delivering safe, secure and affordable homes for people and families across the region. With a solid development pipeline of 150+ projects, we are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality housing projects that make a real difference.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will oversee and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of residential and commercial construction projects from design through to completion.

In the role you will:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
  • Oversee contract administration, including variations, claims and procurement
  • Navigate planning approvals and compliance requirements across Victoria
  • Coordinate builders, consultants, councils and internal teams
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide reporting to internal stakeholders and funding bodies
  • Lead and support a team of Project Officers
This is a hands-on, high-impact role combining technical construction expertise with stakeholder and project leadership.

You are an experienced construction or project professional who can confidently deliver complex projects in a regulated environment.

You will bring:
  • Proven experience delivering construction projects from design to handover
  • Strong contract management and administration capability
  • Knowledge of Victorian planning and approvals processes
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines and project risk
  • Solid understanding of civil and residential construction
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
